Colin Mochrie and Brad Sherwood, two of the planet’s funniest humans, are returning to Stratford, and they are “Scared Scriptless”. This performance of outrageous improv comedy will bring down the house at Stratford’s iconic Avon Theatre, at 7.30 pm on Saturday, January 5, 2019. It is a fundraising event for the Stratford Arts ad Culture Collective.
These two comedic legends last appeared in Stratford in the fall of 2014 and 2015 with near sold-out performances at the Festival Theatre. Since then, they have continued to appear across Canada, the United States and internationally to rave reviews. In November, they will appear in major theatres in New Zealand, Australia (including two performances at the Sydney Opera House), and the Royal Albert Hall, in London, United Kingdom. The SACC is proud to bring them back to Stratford.

Colin Mochrie (“Hilaritycus smoothius”) is well-known as one of Canada’s funniest actors and improvisational comedians, most famous for his appearances on the British and US versions of television improvisation show Whose Line Is It Anyway? In 2017, he appeared in Murdock Mysteries and in 2018, he appeared in Groundling Theatre’s production of Shakespeare’s Lear as Lear’s Fool.
Brad Sherwood (“Cranuis giganticum”) is Colin’s partner onstage, with a razor-sharp mind and edgy humour. His first acting job was his recurring role as Ned Barron for 5 episodes of L.A. Law. In 1994-95, he was a cast member on the syndicated sketch-comedy series The Newz. He and Colin appear frequently on the road together, inciting laughter and fun.
ABOUT THE SHOW
“Scared Scriptless” is a “90-minute plus” tour de farce which takes the audience into the off-balanced brains of Colin and Brad. Prepare to laugh yourself senseless as these improv comedy masterminds make up original scenes, songs and more from whatever you, the fans, suggest! You just might also get to join in on the fun on stage. It’s an hilarious comedic high wire act… just like a live version of “Whose Line!” How the heck do they do it? We don’t know either!
