Thank you for supporting 'A Stratford Christmas'

The 2024 edition of A Stratford Christmas was a heart-warming success, packing the Stratford Festival Theatre with almost 1,300 seasonal music fans who were dazzled by a huge cast of world-class talent.

In the true spirit of giving, SACC is pleased to announce that with the community’s generous support of attending the event, a donation of $2,500.00 was made to The Local Community Food Centre who are undertaking an ambitious fundraising campaign to support its wide range of programs and services. These include community meals, community markets, an urban farm, support for other agencies, workshops, and advocacy around issues that will help make our community more food secure.

A Stratford Christmas was once again hosted by Sheila McCarthy and David Rogers. Under the musical direction of Mark Payne, who along with Jesse Grandmont and the rest of the band, kept the audience thoroughly enthralled with the depth and breadth of their versatility. Performances by Monique Lund, Dayna Manning, Hannah Thomas and Marcus Nance pleased the audience knowing these artists call Stratford ‘home’. New to A Stratford Christmas, Christopher Dunham, Elena Howard Scott, Luciano DiCicco, were joined by Michael Vanhevel for a truly beautiful rendition of ‘I Believe’. Ma-Anne Dionisio again joined with David Rogers for ‘The Prayer’ while Justin Bacchus told us ‘What Christmas Means to Me’. The Stratford Concert Choir filled the room with song joining David for ‘The Most Wonderful Time of the Year’.

Thanks to our event sponsors, Orr Insurance, Bentley’s Bar and Restaurant, Home and Company Real Estate and Destination Stratford for their unwavering support of this event.

Past fundraising events produced by the SACC have included Choir!Choir!Choir!, Wannabe: A Spice Girls Tribute, and Hyprov with Colin Mochrie.  These events allow SACC to continue their work to create a community-based performance space as well as identify the needs of arts and culture organizations and independent artists in our community. The SACC is in the planning stages for more fundraising events later this year.
